How RosterShot works
RosterShot is a free website for fantasy players who need a team name and do not want to stare at a blank box.
You already have a roster in ESPN, Sleeper, Yahoo, or any other league app. You should not have to type every name again. Take a screenshot. Upload it. We read the player names on that picture and give you names you can copy into your league.
No account is required to generate names. Saving a roster for later is optional and uses Google sign-in if you want it.
What you do
- Open your league app and screenshot the roster.
- Go to rostershot.app.
- Drop the picture in the upload box, or search one player if you only care about your first-rounder.
- Pick the sport: NFL, NBA, MLB, or NHL.
- Tap Generate names.
- Copy the one you like.
If a name is spelled wrong after the scan, tap the chip and fix it. Typing is only for edits, not for building the whole list by hand.
What you get
You get 10 team names built from the players on that roster. You can generate again to shuffle the list. Names stay short enough to paste into a league app.
There is a single-player mode if your league names the team after one star. Search the player. Generate. Same copy button.
What this site is not
RosterShot does not tell you who to start or sit. It does not rank players. It does not sell rankings or scrape other fantasy sites for advice. It is a name tool.
Why a screenshot
Most people name the team after draft night, on a phone, in a group chat that is already roasting them. Typing 12 names on a phone is slow. A picture of the roster is already on the camera roll.
Sports
NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL are supported. Search stays inside the sport you picked so a baseball search does not return football players.
Privacy and ads
You can use the generator without an account. If we show ads later, they sit under the names after you generate, not on the upload button. See the Privacy page for how data is handled. Questions: use the Contact page.
